#42 JUST GONE, King Oliver's Creole Jazz Band

Ralph J. Gleason transcreve no livreto a evocação de Satchmo: "He sent for me to play second cornet [...] Couldn't nobody get me out of New Orleans but him! I wouldn't take that chance. / I hadn't heard his band till I got back to Chicago. When I heard it at the door I said 'I ain't good enough for this  band, I think I'll go back...'"

King Oliver (corneta, líder), Louis Armstrong (corneta), Honore Dutrey (trombone), Johnny Dodds (clarinete), Lil Hardin-Armstrong (piano), Bill Johnson (banjo) e Baby Dodds (percussão).
